We went to see most of Gaudi's architecture/apartments today, including Casa Mila and Sagrada Familie. Only entered Casa Mila cos the rest too expensive.
Had some Roadside Baguettes then it was back to Les Ramblas
Tiring day so went back to chill.
15 June 2010 Tue
Visited Park Guell. Very pretty garden with lots of Gaudi's ceramics. Unfortunately obstructed with lots of children and tourist touts. Was a good view of the city too.
Had first Paella for lunch. Walked the street aimlessly for an hour before heading back to airport. Hate that they close the shops at 2pm for Siesta!
Onward to Granada. Surprise: Upgraded to Superior room with Jacuzzi!
16 June 2010 Wed
Woke up late and had ham and cheese for breakfast.
Head to Alhambra, the most major attraction in Granada. Saw many cats. Supdendous view of the city and snow-capped mountains. But not really impressed with the 14th century middle eastern design.
Had a big blob of ice cream as we saw Spain lost in the World cup match. What luck to have bird poo on my head too! Had to shower before we head out again. Managed to get 3 new undies.
After dinner, saw a lady who was trying to put her pet rabbit on the ground. An excited dog, 10m away, make a dash for the rabbit, obviously wanting to play with the rabbit. The poor ginger rabbit hopped off as fast as its little legs could carry it and was shivering. The owner gotta get round tables to fetch it back.
17 June 2010 Thurs
Ham and cheese again
Shopping and stroll along Albacin. Nothing really fascinating.
Had a surprising lunch of sashimi, teriyaki chicken and green tea. Was delicious
BK for dinner. Ohoh!
After dinner, we went to one of the caves in Sacramonte for a Flamenco show by the gypsies. Was fabulous!
18 June 2010 Fri
Wanted to balloonair but was too costly. Mountain bike? Too lazy and too late in planning. So we went shopping. Came across a bar that serve american and english food. Tried their full english breakfast but it was so oily! Yoooo
Killed time with shopping and hot chocolate....nap...Zzzzz
Finally, made it to Chikato, a well-known restuarant at Granada. Indulging meal but was pretty enjoyable. Also met an english/scottish couple who were fun to chat with.
Meimei is stunning today in blue
